Description
An activity plan which includes a number of play-based activities to aid children’s understanding of recognising and naming 2-D shapes.
National Curriculum Links:
- Recognise and name common 2-D and 3-D shapes, including:
- – 2-D shapes [for example, rectangles (including squares), circles and triangles]
- – 3-D shapes [for example, cuboids (including cubes), pyramids and spheres]
Each activity plan includes: a number of activities with clear links to the national curriculum, a range of extra challenges to extend learning further, a list of resources needed to complete the activities, and example photographs of how activities can be set up.
