Description
An activity plan which includes a number of play-based activities to aid children’s understanding of identifying and describing the properties of 3-D shapes.
National Curriculum Links:
- Handle and name a wide variety of 3-D shapes, and identify the properties of each shape.
- Use vocabulary precisely, such as edges, vertices and faces.
- Identify 2-D shapes on the surface of 3-D shapes.
Each activity plan includes: a number of activities with clear links to the national curriculum, a range of extra challenges to extend learning further, a list of resources needed to complete the activities, and example photographs of how activities can be set up.
